Our ministry to young people is based on a goal to assist, empower and equip families in raising their children to become young men and women of Christ. Our hope is that the families of the church with the support of the church ministries will enable our young people to grow into fully committed followers of Jesus Christ. Our approach is to have as many contact points with faith and families as possible. We believe that every opportunity to gather is an opportunity to grow closer to God. 
  1. We provide opportunities for parents to gather so that they might grow in their own faith
  2. Our Sunday School curriculum has a “take home” component that helps families continue the Sunday lesson throughout the week
  3. Our children & youth gather during Sunday Worship for Sunday School. This time is filled with age appropriate, disciple making, lessons and activities.
  4. Our children also have opportunities to gather in other settings throughout the year for fun, service, lessons, etc.
  5. Our youth, in addition to Sunday mornings, also gather monthly on Sunday afternoons. These afternoons are filled with fun, service to others, faith lessons, etc. These times are opportunities for the youth to grow Christian friendships and put their faith into action.
  6. Each summer our children have the opportunity to attend Christian Summer Camp here on the Central Coast giving them the experience of a lifetime.
We are blessed with a large staff of volunteer leaders, who run each of these programs and activities.  These leaders have been called by God to these ministries and specially trained in age appropriate faith developmen issues.  For five years these ministries fell under the leadership of Rev, Bill Greenelsh, Associate Pastor, Children & Youth Ministries.  "Pastor Bill" brought passion, excitement, love of young people, experience and most of all a deep commitment to help the families of this community raise their children to be fully committed followers of Jesus Christ! 

To our great dismay and grief, Pastor Bill was forced to step down due to grave illness, which later took his life.  The Youth were blessed to have Pastor Bill's wife, Jenny Greenelsh, take his place on July 1, 2011; and she continues to lead with passion and dedication to our children and youth.

On July 10, 2011, a Trbute to Bill's ministry took place in worship to honor him for his service to this community and give thanks to God for Bill's witness of faith.
